Glass Cleaners

International Star Registry

Glass Cleaner

1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vinegar
Using isopropyl alcohol and white vinegar together makes a quickly evaporating spray glass and mirror cleaner that competes with national brands. This can also be used to give a nice shine to hard tiles, chrome, and other surfaces.

Basic Window Wash

Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a pump spray bottle, spray on glass and wipe clean with newspaper.
When I first tried this cleaner on my windows, I was amazed by the results. The windows really sparkled.
This works better than the commercial ammonia-based glass cleaner I had previously used.
If this one streaks, then use the one below first, as your windows may have a wax build up from using commercial cleaning products.
After the wax build up is removed, water and vinegar or even straight vinegar will work really well.

All-Purpose Window Wash

A great solution for cleaning automobile and house windows.
1/4 cup white vinegar, 2 cups of water and about 1/2 teaspoon of dish soap.
This solution should cut through the sort of residue found on car windows.
Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle, and shake to blend.
Spray on, then remove with a squeegee, paper towel or newspaper.
