Cheese Crispies made with crisp rice cereal and cheese. Great for a tasty snack or appetizer, hot or cold. Serve as accompaniments to soups or salads.

Ingredients

1 cup soft butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups (4 to 5 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
A Dash cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions

Cream butter with the cheese. Blend in flour and cayenne pepper. Mix in cereal.

Press into buttered 8-or 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 375oF/190oC for 15 to 20 min. or until crisp.

Cool Cut into bars. Serve warm or cold.

Made with crisp rice cereal and cheese. Great for a tasty snack or appetizer. Covered, these appetizers can be stored, refrigerated, for several days. They are good hot or cold. Serve them also as accompaniments to soups or salads.
